ABOUT ALISON LOUKEH & ASSOCIATES
Alison Loukeh is a water professional with more than 25 years of experience overseeing water efficiency programs and projects, adult and K-12 education, curriculum writing, landscape classes, legislation, grants, communications, and outreach.

She entered the water industry late in life after a career in the private sector and never left. Having worked for multiple agencies, districts, cities, and educational institutions, Alison understands the water industry and the challenges they face as the population increases, regulations tighten, and droughts reoccur. She thinks these challenges present opportunities for water savings, communication, and education.
Retired from a water district in 2021, she continues to consult and teach for numerous cities and agencies including the American Water Works Association, San Bernardino Valley College, Mt. San Jacinto College, Municipal Water District of Orange County, Western Municipal Water District, Suburban Water Systems, and the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.

Education: Alison holds an M.P.A with an emphasis in Water Resource Management from California State University, San Bernardino and a B.A. in History from California State University, Fullerton. Other certifications include an AWWA Water Use Efficiency Practitioner Level 3, EPA Qualified Water Efficiency Landscaper Dual Certification, California Landscape Contractors Association Certified Water Manager Certification, the CAPIO J. Lindsey Wolf Certificate in Communications, and the Santa Ana Watershed Ambassador Certification.
Awards: During her career, her work has received awards from the California Association of Public Information Official’s (CAPIO) and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). She has also presented at several conferences including WaterSmart and CalWEP.
Fun Fact: In her spare time, Alison spends time with her family, gardens, travels, hikes, and takes piano lessons. She loves concerts, musicals, and home improvement projects. Her cats, Sophie and Cheeto, are her faithful writing companions.
